My "fake" AG really fake? So similar....

This would effectively stop people from getting any doll off ebay, sending it in to the hospital claiming that it was once a Lindsey or Kailey or Marisol and getting an LE head for their headless body. I'm not sure if this rule was set up to avoid THIS situation, but I'm sure I've read it somewhere before.

ps...I just checked the online form for the hospital. Under head replacement it states "New Head (Same American Girl Only)

So, she would have to send it in with the (fake) head and then I'm not sure if they will put on a new head or not, if they can determine that at least the body really is AG.

Well what if your dog ate the head of your doll? Would you have to send it in and say my dog ate it(the head) and it was (blank) and then they would replace it?? Just curious..

Lonie, I think that is a pretty good look a like!! The sharp line eyebrow looks the same. Maybe when the doll gets here there are some type of markings on the plastic area that tucks inside the doll and the seller just doesnt know where to look? I think it looks very similar to this doll , it has teeth and very pale lips.. they sell these at my local craft store.. you cant see the eyebrows but they are sharp pencil line like the doll in question.

It is not a counterfeit! Counterfeits have PC opn the back of the neck!

I think I am with you on this one Katya. I watched that auction each time it was listed. I am so eager to see more photos of her. I think her face is very similar to AG. I think it is hard to see past the eyes.She just looks too similar to me.She almost has to be at least a GOTZ.

I definitely think that the doll is probably a Gotz, they have the same bright eyes, and since we can't see this Kirsten like one's eyebrows, they must be pretty high up, as her bangs poof an awful lot.

Yes, I think this GOTZ is lovely. I have bookmarked the page so I could bid- but then I spotted another HB member bidding, and if I can help it , I never bid against friends.It also went too high for me in the end. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I'd also lean toward Gotz. Like some other members here, I have a Gotz Little Sister doll. They are so similar (since the AG face mold was originally a Gotz face mold and the AG body is also Gotz). Although this isn't a Little Sister, seeing one in person, I can understand how it would be very easy to get the two *brands* confused.
